WAITS are very thankful and appreciative for all the donations we receive. The women who access our services can come with no resources, the donations really help women in need.

We would like to say a massive thank you to:

Yasmin and the Be kind Volunteers

As part of the Eid Celebrations, Yasmin and volunteers donated some beautiful Asian suits and an Eid hamper so our women in refuge could take part in Eid Celebrations. The women appreciated this beautiful and thoughtful donation.

WAITS Treasurer – Sally

Sally has donated some marvellous side tables and some children’s clothes.

The tables will be useful for storing WAITS craft and workshop materials to provide some much-needed storage space at the WAITS offices and the clothes will be donated to the children of our service users.

Robina and Team

We would like to send a big thank you – Highfield Hall Community Centre, who donated food parcels which contained food for the women in refuge to cook some lovely dishes at home.

The women were very appreciative for this kind-hearted donation from Highfield Hall Community Centre.

We would also like to say a big Thank you to our Placement Volunteer Ms Dos Santos for helping to sort and pack all the donations that we have had during lockdown.

The demand for safe accommodation in Birmingham is rising. Domestic abuse is the cause of 1 in 6 made homeless, leaving women with an impossible choice - homelessness or danger.
