As we have entered our 30th year as a charity, we are pleased to share these warm and encouraging words from Mayor Andy Street:

"I want to take this opportunity to congratulate the entire team at WAITS for the fantastic work they have done for women in the West Midlands over the past 30 years.

"Helping those who need it most and showing genuine compassion is the cornerstone of any thriving society.

"For WAITS to have now done that over 10,000 times is something to take immense pride in.

"We all dream of a society where organisations such as WAITS do not have to play such a crucial role in the everyday of our fellow citizens. Whilst this is not the case, I am glad that they will continue their fine work to not only offer light to vulnerable women in times of un-imaginable darkness but also empower them to find that light within themselves.

"Congratulations to you all."

Andy Street, Mayor of the West Midlands

At WAITS, we believe that meaningful change must be informed by the lived experiences of the women we support. This March marked an important milestone in our ongoing research project.
