We warmly invite you to the "Change the System" Conference, a pioneering event presented by Women Acting in Today's Society in collaboration with Birmingham City University.

Join us on 14th February 2024, at Birmingham City University for a transformative exploration of the challenges faced by survivors of Domestic Abuse within the BAME community.

Unveiling Systemic Barriers:

This Conference brings together survivors, advocates, and experts to shine a spotlight on the pervasive barriers within critical sectors. Through insightful panel discussions, we'll dissect issues in the realms of Police, Housing, Benefits, Crown Prosecution Service, and Legal Aid. Our goal is to not only identify these challenges but to collaboratively devise actionable strategies for change.

Interactive Workshops:

Delve deeper into the complexities faced by survivors through hands-on workshops. Here, we invite you to actively participate in crafting solutions, fostering a space for shared learning and empowerment. Together, we'll explore innovative approaches to overcome barriers and create a more supportive environment.

Networking for Change:

Connect with a diverse community of like-minded individuals, professionals, and organisations etc, that are dedicated to breaking down barriers.

Forge partnerships that extend beyond the conference, fostering collaborations that contribute to lasting change. We believe that networking is a powerful catalyst for creating a united front against domestic abuse.

Why Attend?

This conference is more than an event; it's a movement.
